Born and raised in the Kansas City Area, Sara grew up in a hub of creative innovation. She furthered her interest in filmography by attending William Woods University, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Communications and filmmaking concentration. Her minors in Art and Business Administration complement the skills learned from her major. She also spent a summer with KCTV5 news in Fairway, KS.
Her favorite part of her college career was spearheading the First Flight Film Festival as the film club president. She elicited submissions, created the motion graphic title cards, put together the program, and saw the event through from start to finish. The best part of the event is being able to showcase student work and inspire them to continue to work in the art, as well as inspire the audience to new creativity. She would like any opportunity to continue to work in film festivals.
With knowledge in radio, television broadcasting, and cinematography, Sara is well-equipped to tackle advertising, narrative filmmaking, radio/television, and news.
